The Colt M4A1 Carbine SOCOM, also known as the Colt M4A1, is a lightweight and powerful firearm designed for tactical deployment and traditional patrol. This Colt M4 rifle also has an M16-type bolt carrier, M4 feed ramps, and an H2 buffer. The barrel is chrome-lined with a 6-groove, 1:7″ twist and measures 14.5 inches. To achieve a non-NFA barrel length of 16.1 inches, an extended flash hider is pinned and welded to the barrel. With the 4-position buttstock fully retracted, the Colt M4A1 SOCOM is less than 30 inches long and weighs under 7 lbs, making it a highly portable and easy to maneuver Colt AR-15 in tight spaces.
