LuckyGunner: PMC X-TAC 5.56mm NATO $485/case

LuckyGunner PMC X-TAC Ammo 5.56 NATO On Sale

This 5.56×45 ammunition hails from South Korea where they use high-grade materials while fabricating all of their components in-house and in accordance with strict quality assurance protocol.

This cartridge is designed to mirror the performance of the U.S. Armed Forces’ own 5.56 M193. As such it is loaded with a 55 grain full metal jacket bullet and enough propellant to deliver a 3,120 fps muzzle velocity out of an M16 rifle’s 20” barrel. You’ll get a slower muzzle velocity if your AR has a shorter barrel, but that’s only to be expected.

This cartridge’s FMJ tapers off at its base. That is its boat tail, a feature which helps the bullet stir up less in-flight drag so it can retain more velocity. The bullet’s trajectory is flatter and more wind resistant because of it. Worried about your range’s magnetic ammo policy? Put those fears to rest. PMC’s M193 rounds have steel-free bullets that can’t draw a magnet.

PMC’s Boxer-primed brass cases cycle efficiently and become reloadable the second they fall out of the chamber. Just don’t fire this ammo in a 223 Rem rifle. It’ll fit, but it generates a little more chamber pressure than a 223 is designed to handle.
